After I unfolded Bon Appetit’s April distress and noticed an preferrred searching, start-confronted sandwich of sauteed ramps and a poached egg, I needed to recreate my like version. This recipe is in response to the BA sandwich however with key adjustments — particularly, the addition of Serbian “ajvar.” Ajvar is my absolute current condiment of all time and its smoky, candy quality performs smartly with the charred ramps and the lush egg yolk of a beautifully poached egg. Instructions
- Neatly-organized the ramps smartly: rob away the roots and rinse the leaves and the stem under the slippery crimson pores and skin. Prick the darkish green leaves from the crimson stems/bulbs and gash crosswise into 1-bolt slices. Prick the white bulbs and stems into 1/4-bolt slices.
