Nasu Dengaku (Eggplant Broiled in Miso)

Substances:

  • 1 asian eggplant (decrease in half lengthwise)
  • 1 teaspoon (sesame oil, elective)
  • 1 tablespoon miso (gluten free for gluten free)
  • 2 teaspoons sake
  • 2 teaspoons mirin
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 green onion (sliced, elective)

Instructions:

  1. Brush the within sides of the eggplant sides with the sesame oil.
  2. Broil the skin of the eggplant sides for about 3 minutes.
  3. Broil the within facet of the eggplant sides for about 3 minutes or except soft.
  4. Mix the miso, sake, mirin and sugar.
  5. Living the miso mixture on the within facet of the eggplant sides and broil except the miso bubbles.
  6. Garnish with the golf green onion slices.
