Lemon-Scented Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks (1/2 pound) unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 cup turbinado sugar (look Reward), plus more for sprinkling

  • 1 tablespoon finely grated lemon zest

  • 1 dapper egg yolk

  • 2 cups all-motive flour, plus more for rolling

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Directions

  1. Within the bowl of a standing electrical mixer fitted with a dash, beat the butter unless creamy. Add the 1 cup of turbinado sugar and the lemon zest and beat at medium bustle unless fluffy. Add the egg yolk and beat unless subtle. In a medium bowl, budge the flour with the salt and baking powder.
