Chicken Cordon Bleu Soup

The entire unprecedented flavours of chicken sous-chef in a downright comforting bowl of chicken soup!

Ingredients:

  • 4 strip bacon, minimize into 1inch pieces
  • 1 cup onion, diced
  • 1 cup carrot, diced
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 cup flour (rice flour for gluten-free)
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups chicken, cooked and diced or shredded
  • 2 cup ham, diced
  • 1 pound potatoes, minimize into chunk sized pieces
  • 2 cups swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoon white miso paste (no longer compulsory)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (no longer compulsory)
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped (no longer compulsory)

Instructions:

  1. Cook the bacon in a orderly sauce pan and living aside reserving the bacon grease within the pan.
  2. Add the onions, carrots, and celery and cook dinner over medium-excessive warmth till refined, about 10 minutes.
  3. Add the garlic and cook dinner till fragrant, a couple of minute.
  4. Sprinkle within the flour and cook dinner till evenly golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
